Description
The Barber Boost (named due to all the clipping it does) is a simple, single transistor boost pedal with an input tone control, an output level/volume control and a selection of six different clipping options.
While stock values can be used, the board has been designed to allow for experimentation when choosing both the transistor and the clipping diodes for each of the six options.
Standard clipping options are:
- Symmetrical diode clipping option 1 (using D2 and D3)
- Symmetrical diode clipping option 2 (using D4 and D5)
- Asymmetrical diode clipping option 1 (using D6 D7 and D8)
- Asymmetrical diode clipping option 2 (using D9 D10 and D11)
- Symmetrical LED clipping (using L1 and L2)
- Asymmetrical LED clipping (using L3 L4 and L5)
